Starting from February 2024, nationals from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for short stays in the UK. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to apply for the UK visa or ETA:

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Determine the Visa Type:
  - For short stays up to 6 months for tourism, business, family visits, or medical reasons, apply for a Standard Visitor Visa or an ETA.
  - For longer stays, study, or work, check the specific visa requirements on the UK Government website (www.gov.uk).

2. Online Application:
  - For Standard Visitor Visa:
    - Apply online through the UK Visas and Immigration website (www.gov.uk/standard-visitor).
  - For ETA:
    - Apply through the UK ETA app or online on the government’s website (www.gov.uk/get-electronic-visa).

3. Prepare Required Documents:
  - Passport: Valid for the duration of your stay with at least one blank page.
  - Travel Dates: Details of your travel dates and accommodation.
  - Financial Proof: Evidence of sufficient funds for your stay.
  - Supporting Documents: May include employment letter, invitation letter from UK host, and travel history.

4. Biometric Data:
  - Schedule an appointment at a Visa Application Centre (VAC) to provide your biometric data (fingerprints and photograph).

5. Pay Visa Fees:
  - Pay the visa application fee online. The cost for a Standard Visitor Visa is approximately $124 (£100).
  - The cost for an ETA will be announced soon, but it is expected to be lower than the current visa fee.

6. Attend Visa Appointment:
  - Attend the scheduled appointment to submit your biometric data and any additional required documents.

7. Wait for Decision:
  - The processing time is typically within three weeks for a Standard Visitor Visa. The decision for an ETA is usually made within three working days.

8. Receive Visa or ETA:
  - If approved, you will receive your visa vignette in your passport or a digital ETA.

Specific Requirements for Each Country:

Jordan:
- Jordanian nationals will require an ETA from February 2024. The application is done online or through the UK ETA app, and you’ll need to provide biographic and biometric details.

Saudi Arabia:
- Saudi residents can apply for a Standard Visitor Visa or an ETA from February 2024. The process includes submitting an online application and attending a biometric appointment at a VAC.

UAE:
- UAE nationals will also need an ETA from February 2024 for short stays. The application process is similar to that of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, involving an online application and biometric data submission.
